I have spent the last 15 years making all of the mistakes that you are making right now. I, like you, saw the vision that my upline was trying to show me, believed everything that he and his upline said. I almost quit my job to do this full time, make millions and never have to work again. I did everything that my upline asked me to do, i.e., made a list, pitched my product to everyone I knew, everyone I ever met, and even went door to door, and then did it again and again.
I saw little bits of success. Small teams of people would sprout up, and I would work with them, train them, make calls with them, do presentations with them and proceed to work them to death the way my uplines were working me. Soon after I had exhausted all of my leads, alienated all my closest friends and family members, I too, like all the people on my team before me, decided that it was not working out... that I must not have what it takes.
I Guess There Must Have Been Something Wrong With Me!!!
So there I was, alone, broke, and worst of all, broken. I thought that there was something wrong with me. My upline had recruited me on the idea that this would be "SOOOO easy", "a piece of cake", and that he would "build my downline" for me. Now, I am not trying to say that my
initial failure was his fault. He taught me some very important things, helped me through my necessary growing and learning phases of the business.
The real problems were much bigger than him. The real problems are the reasons why statistically 99% of everyone who starts an MLM business will fail and quit. Why do you think that there are so many enemies to our business? Why do you think that most people think that MLM businesses are just "pyramid schemes"? The reason is that that is typically how it ends up working. There are a few at the top who know some secret about how this industry really works, and they do their best to teach and train the people that they bring in. But, ultimately, they are the only ones who end up making any of the "Big Money" that we were all lured in to this business to make. The real issue is that he was sombody's"uncle Bob", and he was too far down the upline chain from the people who knew the techniques. He was just doing what his upline had taught him, and he, too, ended up quitting and going back to looking for a "real job".

Oh, I remember it so well, seems like yesterday. 15 years in this so call great pie in the sky call MLM. It should be call N.F.L.- No Friends Left. That’s were I was after 15 years of being a MLM junky. How many new deals, let me count the distributor kits. I max out every credit I had and sign every dotted line shove in my face. But where is all the money and the hundreds of reps that my sponsor promise me? Wait, the real question is where is my sponsor(s)? Never go MLM shopping hungry, you will buy every can of lies, bag of rip offs and bottles of liquid scam on the selves of “You Just Been Con” supermarket.
I once join the masses that walk through it’s doors only to walk out with an empty bag and no receipt of what I had done.
My Golden Calf Was Delivered By USPS
“Hey honey it’s the door bell, see who is“, was the words that roll off the tongue of my spouse. Running to the door like a kid who had been lock in his room, it didn’t take long to bring this long awaited miracle box in the house. There I was tearing open this thing like a addict looking for a fix. O boy my 19th distributor kit. I had to place it on the alter and began to bow down to this life saver, praying that it will answer all my financial worries. What was I thinking, I must have been S.O.S. - Stuck On Stupid. I had to wake up and come to my senses.
A Setback Is Only A Setup For A Come Back
There are many people who would have by now giving up on life. Not I, no sir, no way. Just because my past may have been rough does not mean my future will be tough.
Though there were times when my… knees got weak, hands got tired, eyes got dim, priorities got confused, love got cold, and goals got lost yet I knew I had to keep going. It’s call stickablity. Life move so fast that sometimes you feel like you are standing still even though you are running top speed. When others are throwing the towel in and calling it quits, yet not I. Somehow, someway I knew I could turn this nobody into a somebody. Though the hill got steep and the path became rough, load became heavy, and the night got dark, I kept P.U.S.H.I.N.G (praying until something happens).
Life seems to always have setbacks. You know the feeling, soon you pay the last car payment the first maintenance payment starts. Setbacks, we all have them. I on the other hand didn’t just have them , I felt as though I was a setback. Instead of being a blessing I became a burden, a hindrance instead of a help, a despair instead of a delight, a liability instead of an asset, disappointment instead of being dependable, and all out greedy instead of generous.
An Uncommon Mentor
In 2006 I came across a man named Joe Schroeder who taught me via his training courses how to market using his “Quick Link Theory”. Where in the world had this man been, and how come I never met him? He had been where he needed to be, but I was so blinded by looking at those let me lie and take your money again gurus, that I couldn’t see a honesty, tell it like it is friend right in my face. Once I learned his theory I built a tremendous business right out of my home. His system has allowed me to retire my wife 21 years early and given me the choice to either roll out or rollover when the sun comes up.
My goal in life is to have an impact on this generation so when I am gone it will leave an effect on the next generation! I have position my life so I can serve others.
"How may I serve you?" is my psychological trademark.
I have taken this mentality over into the world of Network Marketing. I believe in building people first because people are what builds business.
This business is not about companies or products. It's about people.
